On June 20th and 21st, Slimbook was present as a sponsor at OpenSouthCode 2025, one of the most prominent events in Southern Europe dedicated to technology and open source culture. The event took place at La Térmica in Málaga, a venue that once again brought together a vibrant community of enthusiasts, professionals, and free software organizations.

OpenSouthCode is much more than just a tech event: it’s an international meeting point where companies, communities, and visitors from all levels come together from those taking their first steps in the open source world, to people with years of experience who still carry the same passion.

As usual, the event offered a wide variety of talks, workshops, and exhibition areas. In our case, besides showcasing some of our devices and chatting with everyone who stopped by our booth, we wanted to provide something useful and practical for the attendees.

That’s why we organized a basic laptop maintenance workshop, open to everyone. Participants were able to learn step by step how to take care of their device, with tips and explanations provided by the Slimbook team itself. From internal cleaning to practical recommendations, it was a very well-received experience that sparked genuine interest. Because yes, having a powerful device is great but knowing how to take care of it is just as important!
