This last weekend (October 23rd to October 25th 2025) we were pleasured to go yet another year to TRG CON, organised by David Bonilla at La Nave, Madrid. Over three days, the tech community reuinited to enjoy talks, seminars, community activities and a retro-futurist ambient inspired by TRON, that made the experience memorable.
Bonilla’s entrance to the event was a spectacle: dressed as one of the TRON characters, with a catchy song marking the start of workshops and talks by incredible speakers.

Our stand: technology, gaming, and novelties
Slimbook was present all three days with a stand full of surprises. Attendees could meet the team, try our laptops and desktops, and discover upcoming products and launches.
For gaming enthusiasts, we set up 8 gaming stations specifically for the Fortnite tournament, organized alongside our friends at Team Heretics. The morning of the Community Day was a success: dozens of people came by to play matches and score points to win prizes from Team Heretics and Slimbook.
One of the biggest surprises was our “retro” desktop: a case with a totally ’90s aesthetic but an ultra-modern interior, including an RTX 5090 that left everyone speechless. As we said at the stand: “A 5090 in a ’90s desktop.”
Another memorable surprise involving Slimbook was when Bonilla dedicated a few words to his 10-year-old son, Dani, and surprised him with a custom-built desktop, featuring top-of-the-line components and a unique retro gaming design, which he didn’t put down for the entire event.
Our merchandise was once again a highlight: the Slimbook penguins won everyone’s hearts during Community Day.

Omarchy and Linux in action

On Friday night came the famous TRG Party, this time sponsored by Slimbook. The slogan couldn’t have been clearer: “Bonilla pone el pulpo, Slimbook el bakalao.” David Bonilla, a Galician at heart, never fails to provide octopus at his event, while Slimbook, as proud Valencians, sponsored the ’90s touch with merchandise and sweets that delighted attendees. And if it was a Valencian ’90s-style party, bakalao couldn’t be missing! And the king of it all was none other than Chimo Bayo, who made everyone dance until the event closed.
An event to remember
It was a pleasure to attend this great event once again, reconnect with familiar faces, meet new ones, and see the excitement of attendees trying our equipment and discovering our novelties. Soon, all the new configurations and releases will be available on our website.

As they say at TRG: Do ut des. And we received an unforgettable experience in return.
