Shipping and delivery times
You can find the ETA(Estimated Time of Arrival) of shipments in few places:
- Before doing the order: in the configurator, above the "Buy" button, you will find the estimated assembly time. To this, you will need to add a few days for delivery.
- After doing the order: after the order getting confirmed, you will receive an email with the approximated delivery time. You can also check the status order from your account, in the following link: https://slimbook.com/my/orders
- A status bar with the progress of your computer
- A comment section, where you can ask or inquire us, as well as the confirmation time of the order.

Payments and invoice

However, if you are not in a hurry, contact us at info@slimbook.com indicating your order number and commenting that you had an error with the payment. In that case we can give you a one-time payment link that you can use to pay without making a new order.
Unlike payments with card, wire transfers have to be verified manually. This implies that we need to check our bank account several times a day and confirm that the transfer includes the order number.
Keep in mind that wire transfers are not always instant and that, in some cases, might take one or two working days, specially if it is done from another bank or country.
For safety reasons, the orders will be cancelled automatically after 48 hours if the payment has not been confirmed. Do not worry: whenever we receive your transfer and validate it, we will reactivate your order and a confirmation message will be sent. If you see that your order appears as cancelled, usually you just need to wait. In most of the cases, you will be sent a confirmation message soon after.
If more than two working days have passed (keep in mind weekends) and you have not received any confirmation, check your SPAM inbox, if the message has been sent there instead.

VAT and customs
Depending on the country from where you buy or if you buy personally (B2C) or as a business (B2B):
- Spain (B2C) : Yes, the prices include 21% of VAT
- Any other country from the EEC (B2C): After introducing your shipping address, the website adjusts the VAT automatically, the 21% Spanish VAT is discounted and the VAT from your country (eg. Germany 19%, France 20%, etc.) is used. The final price will be shown at checkout.
- EU business with valid intra community VAT (VIES) (B2B): The purchase might be VAT exempt. Make sure to introduce a valid VAT number and select B2B as the fiscal position if it is shown at checkout.
- Outside European Union: Normally VAT is not paid on the Website, however customs/delivery carrier might make you pay the local VAT (and, in some cases, tarrifs or taxes) at the moment of delivery. It is standard procedure.
Purchases between businesses from the EU might be VAT-exempted as long as the business has a valid VAT Number. For that, you need to create a profile in our Website with the invoicing details, introducing a valid VAT Number and selecting B2B as fiscal position type.

Warranty and returns
Yes, of course. You can always open your laptop for any cleaning task, as well as replacing or changing the RAM or drives if needed.
However, we ask you to contact us prior to doing it, so our SAT can approve the procedure. You can request it in the following link: https://slimbook.com/support

Personal: In Spain the warranty is 3 years, for the rest of Europe is 2 years, for international orders, is 1 year batteries and chargers, since they're fungible assets, are 12 months.
For business, the warranty is two years in the European Union and one year international, expandable.

For clients outside the EU, the shipment to our facilities is assumed by the client itself, the return shipment, after getting repaired, is assumed by SLIMBOOK.

Linux and software
In SLIMBOOK we constantly work to improve compatibility of our applications with the Linux ecosystem. It is one of the ways we have to give back to the community for all the support you give us.
The first step is to add our repositories to your system, and then install the compatible applications for your computer. (You do not need a SLIMBOOK computer to install them, however, you will find more features and functionalities on the applications if you have one).

We always offer the most used distributions for our models, prioritising LTS versions of each. You can find which options we offer in the configurator of each model, for example here: https://slimbook.com/shop/product/evo-14-amd-ryzen-ai9-365-1845
If one distribution is not available in a specific model, it might be due to compatibility or stability issues in that model.
If you wish to get another installation installed that does not appear in the configurator, we might be able to do it. Normally we offer the most demanded ones, but that does not mean that they do not work in our computers. For example, other distributions that SLIMBOOK OS based on Ubuntu, other distributions based on it that do not appear in the configurator might work correctly.

Hardware and spare parts
Of course, in SLIMBOOK we always try to offer spare parts for our computer models as long as possible.

Even though the perception of noise might be subjective, in SLIMBOOK we implemented *work modes* to offer you the posibility to adjust both the performance and the power consumption as well as the noise from your device.
It is always recommended to divide the memory in two slots to take advantage on the *Dual Channel* technology. Eg:
- If you want 16 GB of RAM, the ideal solution is to use two 8 GB modules.
- If you want 32 GB of RAM, the ideal solution is to use two 16 GB modules.
And so on.

Product and specifications
Like most of the electronic devices, our computers are manufactured in Asia. However, unlike other brands, in SLIMBOOK we make the final assembly, configuration and quality assurance in Spain.
And most important: the warranty and support team is managed entirely here.
Yes, currently all the SLIMBOOK computers that we offer can charge through USB-C. However, this technology has some limitations, so it is recommended to consult the specifications of your model.
For example, in laptops that consume more than 100W (such as laptops with dedicated graphics card), it is not possible to be charged correctly through USB-C. In those cases, it is highly recommended to use the original charger.

Slimbook OS is our very own distribution, based on Ubuntu 24.04 , and represents our vision of what a Linux distribution must be: one with a shallow yet fast learning curve.
It is the only distribution that offers KDE or GNOME at installation time, including the best aesthetics, productivity widgets and a total integration with our applications. It also detects automatically the model of your SLIMBOOK, soi it installs everything needed for your system and leave it perfectly optimised since the first boot.

Yes, in SLIMBOOK we try to offer the option to disable Intel ME in the majority of the BIOS of our laptops (to not say all of them).

Yes, we offer some models with ANSI keyboard layout (or US ANSI, that is how it is usually named). However, it is not possible to install an ANSI keyboard in any model since some models have the chassis specially made for ISO layouts. That is, that any models with ANSI layout must be manufactured specifically.
The option "Pick your own language" will not let you change the keyboard layout format , but it is for custom laser engravings for ISO keyboard layouts. That is, you can only choose it as long as the layout is ISO.
To check which languages and formats we offer, we recommend you to check the configurator of the model you are interested in. If the model includes an option called *US ANSI*, it can be selected. If it is not available, that model cannot have ANSI layout.

If you do not mention us anything, we will install both systems in the main drive, allocating half of the space for each.
In case you select two drives, we will do the following:
- Both systems will be installed in the main drive, allocating half of the space for each.
- The secondary drive will be formatted to NTFS so it can be accessed from Linux and Windows.
If you prefer that we install each OS in its own drives no problem. Comment it to us in your order.

Of course, you are able to personalise your new SLIMBOOK laptop with a laser engraving on the front of the laptop or on the SUPER Key of the keyboard.
