Are there any plans to release slimbookgestures for newer Ubuntu versions?

When I bought my Executive 16, I got Slimbook OS (Ubuntu) on it. I can't remember if it was already on version 24 or I updated it, but I'm currently on 24.10.

Sadly I'm not able to add the Slimbook PPA or install the `slimbookgestures` package which would enable multi-touch gestures on my trackpad. This is a bit frustrating because I can't use my laptop to its full potential.

Are there plans to release the package for newer Ubuntu versions? I would even be open to patching the code if it was open-source.

Good morning,

slimbookgestures is deprecated from versions Ubuntu 20 and above, this is due to newer Desktop Environments already implementing some sort of gestures management natively within the Desktop Environment.
