Evo 14 suspend drain 2% of the battery every 1 or 2h

Hi

Just received my new shining laptop EVO 14 AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS and I figure out that, ins suspence mode it is draining 2% of the battetry every 2h.

Yesterday night I leaved it at 91% and this morning it was at 85%

This morning, just to test I leaved it at 85% and after two hours it was at 83!

Seems too much or is it a normal drain or sign of a defect in my battery or laptop setting?

let me know before opening a support issue.

Acabo de recibir mi nuevo laptop EVO 14 con AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS y me di cuenta de que, en modo de suspensión, consume un 2% de la batería cada 2 horas.

Anoche la dejé al 91% y esta mañana estaba al 85%.

Esta mañana, solo para probar, la dejé al 85% y después de dos horas ¡estaba al 83%!


¿Parece demasiado, es un consumo normal o una señal de un defecto en la batería o la configuración de la laptop?


Avísame antes de abrir un tiket de soporte.

Buenos días,
Actualmente que el equipo use 2% de batería en stand-by es normal en equipos.

Los equipos de estos últimos años solo soportan un modo de consumo de batería en stand-by, que por desgracia, consume ese tanto de batería.

mirare' si es de verdad normal. MI viejo mac o falsea los datos no no gasta nada. Tampoco recordar este gasto en un viejo asus con linux. Hare' una comparación.

Esta noche he dejado el laptop al 48% y esta mañana estaba apagado y sin bateria! esto no me parece mui normal! y esto que estoy super seguro que estaba en suspensiona atenerlo al lado y con pantalla abierta!

noticed that sleep takes only 30sec after that an event stop sleep. I've to check what event is rising up the laptop :/

Hola Ginetto,

Ejecuta en terminal:
cat /sys/power/mem_sleep
Resultado: s2idle, deep, o ambos.
Lo ideal para menor consumo es que use deep.

Después ejecuta (en modo batería):

sudo dmesg | grep -i "s2idle"
sudo powertop
Para ver qué dispositivos consumen más

in this moment the main probklem is premature wakeup after sleep

following this guide:
https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Power_management/Wakeup_triggers#Wakeup_trigger_interfaces
that could indicate reasons to drain to much during sleep (not only "deep" option)

sincerly I was not intended to spend all this time for a alsmost 2k linux oriented laptop :/ time that I do not have at all!

Hi, the instant wake up after sleep seems to be a global issue with the EVO lineup. However, there is a workaround that worked for me, see https://slimbook.com/en/forum/questions-and-answers-from-the-slimbook-user-community-1/question/slimbook-evo-returns-from-suspend-mode-almost-immediately-9485

Yes, for me works better add this option to grub:

mem_sleep_default=deep
