- I have check for all KDE updates

KDE Plasma Version: 6.3.4
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.13.0

Good afternoon, Echo,

I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing issues. It seems the system isn't detecting the speakers at all. Could you try using a LiveUSB of Slimbook OS? That way, we can rule out whether it's a software or hardware issue.

Hi Eusebio,

many thanks for the response. I did as you proposed and yes, I think it is a software issue. With the LiveUSB it does react as expected and shows a volume bar.

How can I install or update my KDE plasma. I have only updated as the system suggested over time.

Hi Eusebio,

many thanks!

I used both commands, restarted and checked for updates. But still, I cannot see any options around volume management.

Dear Echo,

please fill in the form for technical support:

We have reported your case to our software team to see what we can do but we might need a full report from your system using Slimbook Service:

Once you have it installed use the "Generate Report" feature > full report , then attach it to your support form:

My best regards.

I found a solution with the hint to look for the volume / audio packages.

I installed 'Audio Volume' through the Discover store and it worked.

Ticket can be resolved!

Thank you all!

Dear Echo,

Ubuntu lately comes with PipeWire libraries and sometimes for troubleshooting users go back to Pulse Audio,

since you are in KDE Desktop instead of a GNOME, sometimes if things work in the "most default" environment usually is due to a software issue, please next time can you try with a live USB with Slimbook OS 24.04 in it?

By default Slimbook OS Gnome comes with all compatible drivers and kernel version.
