Good afternoon, wtl
We have done some noise level tests, and from 50cm away from the laptop, compiling the latest kernel with max threads we got this results:
EVO AI9 365 - Max 53db, Average 50db
Executive Core Ultra 7 255H - Max 55db, Average 51db
From a metre away from the laptop, it is barely noticeable between the two

Dear Samanta,
thank you very much.
1 to 2 dB is NOT nothing (despite very close numbers), but acceptable for me.
May I assume that you have chosen the same power profiles for this test?
BTW: For Evo, I found with this data (https://slimbook.com/en/evo-ai9-guide):
ENERGY SAVER 20W - 25W - 28W
BALANCED 30W - 30W - 40W
PERFORMANCE 65W - 65W - 70W
For Executive, I see this data is "in development". I fear, you don't have a target date for realasing this?

Hey, wtl
Yes, we have used the same power profiles for both the tests
Without going too technical:
While the AMD platforms provide an easy way to check the TDP, the CPU in the Executive has other ways to implement the power profiles and it is hard to provide accurate data for this
The intel-rapl framework that linux provides and the way that this laptop provides power profiles can not be directly compared to the TDP that AMD CPUs provide directly
In other words, we do not have a proper date for releasing the TDP that the laptop can provide with the different power profiles
