Slimbook Executive 16 ignores BIOS battery settings

Ola,

I wanted to set a battery threshold for my new Slimbook Executive, so I went into the BIOS, following this article: https://slimbook.com/en/blog/guides-2/post/tips-battery-care-and-calibration-148

However, it does not matter what setting I choose, my laptop will ignore the setting and continue to charge past 60 or 80%.

I thought maybe it was an OS problem (Ubuntu 24.04), but the laptop continues to charge past 80% even when completely turned off (orange light shining when connected to power supply)

Do you have any advice or idea for a fix to this issue?

We have found a BIOS bug regarding the Battery Maximum Limit threshold in the Executive H 255 laptops, at the moment there's no current workaround to get this to work, we will push a BIOS update ASAP,

Hi, Davy,

Could you check if there is a noticeable decrease in GPU performance when the charger is disconnected on the latest version of EC firmware?

Try disconnecting the charger and quickly scrolling the browser back and forth or move a window quickly. Is the performance the same as with connected charge?

I've found that GPU actual freq is dropped to 100 MHz on the latest EC on battery so I downgraded to 1.17 version for now and the problem was fixed.
