Kernel panic on Slimbook executive 14 - intel core ultra 7

Avatar

the errors

- Received Slimbook executive 14 with intel core ultra 7 chip thursday 19/02/2026

- Had multiple kernel panics Thursday and Friday, freezing the computer for minutes and shuting it down

- Crash happened always while on a google meet, mostly when sharing the screen and camera on

hardware problems before booting the OS

- I have 2 external monitors

- Noticed that when I enter the UEFI or the Limine menu, my screens shut down every seconds, periodically

- When I unplug the 2 HDMI monitors, this screen issue disappears

    - These screens do not cause any issue on my personal computer

current changes :

- In the UEFI, changed the operating mode to "Performance Mode"

- switched to another os , cachy OS, seems to be more stable; but still I had kernel panics

- Using Brave instead of Firefox, for the same conditions (test call on google meet with camera and screenshare), it use less processing power.

    - Firefox uses around 26% of processor

    - Brave uses around 17% of processor

Are there any know issues and solutions for this laptop with this chipset ?

Good morning,
Could you provide system logs when the kernel panics happened? It could help to figure out the issue

For the screens shutting down every few seconds, does this only happen in the external monitors, or the laptop monitor too?

Regards,

Thanks for the quick reply !

Will provide logs next time it happens, systems stable for now.

The flicker only happens on the laptop screen, external monitors are off in UEFI and boot selection menu.

Good morning,
Logs seem to say that there's some sort of RAM issues/corruption
To check if it also crashes under load, you could try doing a stress test (with s-tui or stress) and doing a memtest to check if the RAM modules pass the memtest

In any case, I recommend contacting with Slimbook support Team (at https://slimbook.com/en/support ) if while stressing it kernel panics, or the memtest failed

Regards,
